In preparation for an exhibition last year in Bonnieux, France, we painted hundreds of natural silk cocoons. They were lined up in endless rows in the studio, drying on huge sheets of white paper. Those rows began to look like 3D wallpaper and in fact they later inspired the tissue paper packaging.
